The USCAA announced its Division I men's soccer All-Americans this past Thursday evening at the 2025 USCAA Soccer National Tournament Banquet in Pittsburgh, PA, and the Berkeley College-NJ men's soccer team was well represented. Steven Urbes and Christopher Andrade were tabbed Second Team All-Americans, and Andrade, Victor Batista, Gabriel Borges, Dylan Dascoli, and Alex Rodrigues were honored as part of the National All-Academic Team.
"It was a terrific evening for our program, as seven of our student-athletes were recognized by the USCAA," Head Coach Matthew DaCosta said. "Countless hours have been put in by these student-athletes, as they continue to mature into fine young men, both on the field and academically. I'm very prideful when I reflect back on the season that they've put together, and hopefully, this is a night these young student-athletes will always cherish.
Steven Urbes had a standout season for the Knights in 2025, leading the team in shots (42), points (18), goals (seven), and assists (four). He has been the unquestioned leader of the team's offensive attack, and was a big reason why Berkeley College-NJ was one of the better offensive teams in the USCAA this year.
Andrade, one of the team's top defenseman, did a fantastic job at his position this past year for the Knights. With Andrade anchoring the defense, Berkeley was able to register six shutouts this season, allowing just 27 goals in 18 games.
As for Berkeley's academic honorees, Andrade, Batista, Borges, Dascoli, and Rodrigues were not only huge pieces to the 2025 puzzle on the field, but they also starred in the classroom. They all worked diligently to achieve have a healthy balance, and they did it gracefully and impressively.
